Bucio (sea-snail-shell horns):  Caracola de mar de gran tamaño que se utiliza para emitir sonidos a modo de bocina.

Empleita: Strips of braided palm leaves or of another natural material which were used as a mould to make cheese or hats, among other things.

Jarear: A process by means of which fish is salted and then left to dry in the sun to keep it for subsequent consumption.

Burgado: A small sea snail which is found among rocks on the coast. Its shell is a greenish-black or brown. It can be eaten.

Papas sancochadas: Potatoes boiled with salt.

Vereda: A narrow path for people and animals.
